Hello everyone,
My name is Rémi Leclerc, I'm 22 years old and I came to the ISV to work in the world of wines and spirits, and more particularly wine. My background is in general sales and I really wanted to specialise in wines and spirits. I didn't necessarily have much knowledge of viticulture from a technical point of view and that's what I've improved a lot on here at the ISV. We have a notion of international business which is very important in today's wine world. The ISV was able to bring this to us by offering courses in English. We've also had a lot of of stakeholders who have worked in export markets in different markets, whether Latin America, Asia or the United States. This experience is very beneficial for us because we learn what really happens in the field. For my part, I'm aiming to work in export, which is why I'm taking this course, this export specialisation at ISV was more than essential for me. I'm currently doing my work placement at Gérard Bertrand in the Sales Administration - Export department. I'm planning to continue working for the company, particularly in the field of international trade.
My experience at ISV went really well. I'm in 2th year MBA after doing the MBA1 last year. So I learnt a lot about viticulture, I learnt the basics. It's very important to know how a wine is made. These are the basics but it's very important. On the business side, we have a lot of outside speakers. Closer contact with teaching staff than in other schools. That's why I decided to come to ISV, and also because it's a great place to learn. A school on a human scale, where you feel at home ! We can also talk to the speakers, who become our «work colleagues» in the world of wine.
