Hello,
My name is Carla and I'm doing the sandwich course at ISV. For the Bachelor's degree, it's 3 months of classes and the rest is either a work placement or a sandwich course*. As far as I'm concerned, the ISV is quite small, it's a bit like a family, we are very close to teachers, people in the classroom with who you are. I found the very enriching course content we're learning a lot, we've many very interesting seminars. For example, our 1er The seminar was on the history of wine and personally I really benefited from it as I don't come from a wine background. I had passed my WSET level 1 but it wasn't enough. There's so much to learn that the seminars bring a lot to the course. We really did a lot in 3 months. That's one of the big advantages of being at ISV.. Then, in terms of courses, we are a lot in practice, If you have any questions, all you have to do is ask and we'll get back to you. We are always well accompanied.
We also take part in field trips, which are a very important part of the course, because you learn things in the field and at the same time you develop your personal culture, which is essential in the wine and spirits industry.
If I can give you one piece of advice, even if you don't come from the wine world, go for it, because it's important to turn your passion into a job!
It's a really good experience, the ISV is a small family and you won't be disappointed. !
*In September 2022, the work-study schedule will be 3 weeks in a company / 1 week at the ISV.
